Pakistan cricketer Ahmed Shehzad criticised Babar Azam following the Men in Green's loss against arch-rivals India in the recent match in the ongoing edition of the T20 World Cup 2024. Shehzad slammed Babar and even highlighted how he has been unable to lead the team to victories in crucial matches. He even talked about the stats of Pakistan's captain in the losing cause and most of all he slammed him for the moniker ‘King’ and said he got no use of a king that can't win you matches. Ahmed Shehzad has been one of the few names that have openly criticised Babar Azam and hardly ever holds back. He has lashed out at his former teammate on numerous occasions for his approach both as a player and captain of the team.
Pakistan to face Canada to save Super 8 chances
Pakistan have faced back-to-back defeats at the hands of the United States and then arch-rivals India. They currently have zero points and are lagging behind in the race to Super 8. They are set to face Canada in their third match of the group stage and it will be a crucial one for them as losing this will throw them out of contention for the next round. The match will take place at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. This is a must-win game for the former champions.
There are chances of rain playing spoilsport and passing showers interrupting the match proceedings. Even if there is a washout, Pakistan will get one point but that too will limit their journey in the T20 World Cup 2024 to the group stage.
