The Miami Dolphins' star player Tyreek Hill was put under handcuffs by police less than two hours before their season opener game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Dolphins wide receiver was detained in Florida for a traffic infraction. Florida Police have issued a statement explaining the whole scenario and clarifying that there was no arrest in the matter. They also revealed the reason why the cops has Hill in handcuffs.

Hill was reportedly stopped for wild and reckless driving prior to getting into a verbal spat with an official. He was then put binds and was kept on the ground. Subsequent to getting a lot of reaction for how they dealt with the circumstance, the South Florida Police made an announcement.
“Before the Dolphins game yesterday, an incident occurred where Tyreek Hill was placed in handcuffs before being released. First, to be clear, at no time was he under arrest. He was briefly detained for officer safety, after driving in a manner in which he was putting himself and others in great risk of danger,” the statement said.
"Upon being stopped, Mr. Hill was not immediately cooperative with the officers on scene who, pursuant to policy and for their immediate safety, placed Mr. Hill in handcuffs... Mr. Hill, still uncooperative, refused to sit on the ground and was therefore redirected to the ground," it further stated.
Notwithstanding being in handcuffs and having an altercation with the police hours before the group's season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tyreek Hill assisted the Dolphins with procuring a 20-17 triumph against their Florida rivals. After Jacksonville took a 17-7 lead at halftime, Hill with his explosiveness broke free for a long 80-yard score gathering from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa. HYe then purportedly made the most of the chance to take a dig at the South Florida police. Hill and fellow wide receiver Jaylen Waddle celebrated Hill's touchdown that brought Miami within three points by putting fictitious cuffs on his hands.
