Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Grammy-winning singer Taylor Swift may not have had much time together during Christmas, but they made up for it with a cozy dinner on Friday night.
The couple was spotted at BondST Restaurant in New York City, where they enjoyed an intimate dinner. Both wore matching black shirts, paired with khaki-colored layers on top. Their dinner date lasted a lengthy four hours, with the couple joined by Swift’s producing partner Jack Antonoff and his wife, actress Margaret Qualley.
Coordinated Outfits and Fan Reactions
Fans couldn't help but gush over their coordinated outfits. Whether intentional or just a happy coincidence, the matching attire sparked plenty of excitement among those who follow Kelce and Swift's relationship.
Engagement Rumors and Private Plans
In recent weeks, rumors about Kelce and Swift potentially getting engaged circulated, especially after their time together during the holiday season. However, these rumors were later debunked by the Daily Mail, which reported that when the time is right, the couple will share the news on their own terms.
A source close to them mentioned, "When the time comes, people will know about it. But they are going to keep some things private and will have elaborate plans in place to ensure secrecy. They are not worried about those close to them leaking info because people who know them respect this. When and if Travis does make this happen it will be for Taylor and for Taylor only."
Chiefs' Success and Swift's Support
Kelce and Swift also had something to celebrate, as the Kansas City Chiefs secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC after defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day. Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes shared his optimism for the team’s future, saying, “We're getting guys healthy. We're excited. We're going to keep working. This isn't the end. This is just the beginning. We'll continue to work to get even better as we go into the playoffs.”
It's likely that Swift will be at the Chiefs' divisional round game in mid-January to support Kelce as the team heads into the postseason.
