Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Buffalo Bills with the scoreline of 32-29.

It was Kansas City Chiefs' 4th Playoff win over the Bills.

Following the culmination of the game, Bills QB Josh Allen revealed the injury he suffered during the AFC Championship Game.

Buffalo Bills' race for the Super Bowl 59 ended on a sour note in the AFC Championship game, as despite putting up a valiant effort, the team fell against the Kansas City Chiefs once again in the postseason. It was Quarterback Josh Allen's 4th loss at the stage against his counterpart Patrick Mahomes, making him a part of an unwanted NFL record. Allen has received no respite as he has revealed in the season-ending press conference that he has sustained a new injury which could force him to pull out from the week's Pro Bowl games.

Josh Allen Reveals About the Injury He Suffered During the Match Against the Chiefs

Speaking while his right hand was being wrapped, the QB revealed that he is not sure whether he will participate later this week. Before the season draws to a close, some of the best players from the American and National Conferences will meet in another edition of the Pro Bowl. But the MVP candidate Allen may not be able to feature in that due to the injury.

“I got a little banged-up hand right now — a wrist,” Allen said, as per Katherine Fitzgerald of The Buffalo News. “So, I got to talk with docs right now and figure it out. But we’ll see.”

Allen said the injury was quite new. “It was just right at the goal line. The two-point play before halftime, got crunched up a little bit,” Allen said. “I was able to finish the game with just some swelling and stuff today.”

Allen admitted that he was not anticipating any offseason procedures but does intend to take some time to let his body heal. “Got bumps and bruises from last night, took a few shots, and just trying to make sure that my body’s in as good as condition as it can be — giving maybe a week or two and just kind of getting back to work,” Allen said.

Allen finished his 2024 campaign with a career-low six interceptions and 14 sacks taken. He also passed Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly for most touchdowns in Bills history with 262. The quarterback revealed that for season No. 8, he wants to focus on the mechanics. "I think mechanically just still staying on it, making sure that I'm seeing the right people and being as efficient as a passer as I can be," Allen explained. "There's times throughout the year where I'm working in practice and just things they don't feel right, and I'm working all week to try to make sure that I get that feeling of the ball coming off the hand clean."
