Trey McBridge Becomes NFL's Highest Paid TE
Trey McBridge isn't an NFL veteran yet. He has only completed three seasons till now, but courtesy of consistent performances, he has proven his mettle and emerged as a deserved candidate to be offered a jaw-dropping amount. In three seasons, the 25-year-old has recorded over 2,200 yards and six touchdowns.
Statistics Back His Salary
The last season proved to be a breakout year for him. He finished the season with 111 receptions for 1,146 yards and two receiving touchdowns, plus two additional scores (one rushing, one fumble recovery). His 111 catches set a new Cardinals single-season record for a tight end, surpassing his own 2023 mark of 81, and rank second in franchise history for any player, behind only Larry Fitzgerald’s 115 in 2005. He led the team in receptions, targets (147), and receiving yards, earning his first Pro Bowl selection. Among NFL tight ends, he trailed only rookie Brock Bowers in catches and yards.
McBride's success extends beyond the field as well. In 2024, he was named the Cardinals' Walter Payton Man of the Year, an honor bestowed upon a player who displays exceptional community involvement. He has organized charitable activities and donated to youngsters in Arizona and his native state of Colorado.
