Kansas City Chiefs' leadership recently responded to the ongoing rumors of their head coach Andy Reid's retirement. Reid has been the backbone of this team and has guided them to some significant achievements, including three Super Bowl titles. The 66-year-old icon joined the Chiefs in 2013 and has been a pioneer in their success. Reid holds the record of being the only NFL coach to win 100 games with two different franchises (Eagles and Chiefs), and he is also the only coach to feature in four consecutive conference championships with two different NFL teams.

In addition to this, under his guidance, the Chiefs are on the brink of creating history by becoming the first NFL team to win three Super Bowl titles on the trot. Alongside the Super Bowl, which is happening this Sunday, February 9, speculations of Reid's retirement have also surrounded the NFL world. Reacting to these rumors, Chiefs brass shared their official statement.

Is Andy Reid leaving the Kansas City Chiefs?

Well, the answer to the above question is a no, as the Kansas City Chiefs owner, Clark Hunt, has confirmed that the legendary coach is staying with the team for another season regardless of whatever the result of Super Bowl 2025 is. Hunt also emphasized that Andy Reid is having a lot of fun with the Chiefs, and he is not leaving the team anytime soon.

"I know for a fact he'll be back next season." I know how much fun Andy is having. In a lot of ways, I think he is rejuvenated by the success that the team has had, and he's certainly gotten a quarterback that's the perfect complement. He loves what he is doing," Hunt said. "We'll visit that when we get there. (on Reid's departure)."

In contrast, when Reid was once asked about his retirement, the California native mentioned that he loves coaching the players in the Kansas City Chiefs and added that he is currently 'playing it by ear.' With that being said, let's wait and see whether the Reid-led Chiefs will add another feather to their crown at Super Bowl LIX on Sunday or whether the Philadelphia Eagles have planned revenge against them.
