Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce is reportedly preparing for what could be his final NFL season by dialing down his public appearances—especially those involving pop icon girlfriend Taylor Swift. According to the Daily Mail, Kelce is determined to eliminate distractions and fully commit to football after a disappointing 2024-25 season.

 Kelce Reflects on Career-Worst Season

The three-time Super Bowl champion had a challenging campaign last year, logging only 823 receiving yards and three touchdowns, both career lows. In comparison, Kelce recorded 1,338 yards and 12 touchdowns just a season earlier in 2022. While the Chiefs still reached Super Bowl LIX, they were soundly beaten 40-22 by the Philadelphia Eagles, crushing their hopes for a historic three-peat.

Kelce reportedly believes that the surge in attention brought on by his high-profile relationship with Swift may have contributed to his dip in form. Now, he’s refocusing on football and making a push for one final championship run.

Support from Swift: “Taylor Is All About It”Swift is said to be fully supportive of Kelce’s decision to prioritize his NFL career. A source close to the couple told the Daily Mail,

“Taylor and Travis have learned that so much attention on their relationship is not the best thing… Travis is going all in for this season and the only thing that could derail him would be injury.”

They added,

“If this ends up being his last season, as he is gearing towards, he wants to go all in, and Taylor is all about it.”

 Stepping Away from the Spotlight

The couple plans to spend less time in the public eye in the coming months. While their relationship remains strong, their social presence will take a backseat.

“[They] don’t have to be the center of attention anymore and are not going to be seen out and about as much as they have been,” the source explained.

Kelce, who is in the final year of a two-year, $34.25 million contract, knows the clock is ticking. He’s taking full responsibility for his performance, and isn't blaming his relationship or off-field ventures for the Super Bowl loss.

“Travis’s outside ventures and relationship with Taylor took lots of his time this past season but he refuses to put blame on either her or everything else, because it was just a bad day at the office this past Super Bowl,” the insider shared.

Lessons from the Super Bowl Loss

“Had they won, different discussions would be happening right now about everything in his world and life,” the source said.

Instead, Kelce is now focused on "keeping his head down, playing better, training harder", and avoiding unnecessary drama.
