Major League Baseball's Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette has shared his unwavering commitment to playing alongside Vladimir Guerrero Jr. forever. As the 26-year-old begins his rehabilitation from an injury, Bichette took the opportunity to reflect on his season and his long-term aspirations with the team.

What is Bo Bichette's ultimate goal?

In a recent interview with Sportsnet, the shortstop expressed his deep desire to continue his career alongside his fellow infielder Guerrero Jr. He said, "When I had time to think about what I want, basically, my ultimate goal really is to play with Vladdy Guerrero Jr. forever, to win a championship with him and to do that with this organization. I'm 100 percent committed to doing whatever it takes to accomplish those things. That's where I'm at."

Guerrero Jr. has one more arbitration year before unrestricted free agency and Bichette doesn't have arbitration but will hit free agency in 2026. The Toronto Blue Jays will be eyeing to sign them both.

Toronto Blue Jays try to extend Vladimir Guerrero Jr.

There's just a year left before Vladimir Guerrero Jr. hits free agency, and it is expected that the Toronto Blue Jays will try to lock him this winter. This comes after a down year as the infielder was subject to trade rumours.

According to Jon Heyman of the New York Post, Toronto Blue Jays opted to keep him and plans to do for a long time. He added, "The Blue Jays are again expected to try to lock up superstar first baseman/third baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. this winter, and though they have a better shot with Guerrero than co-star Bo Bichette, they will need to step up efforts to keep Guerrero, who's in great shape and back to near MVP level."

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is second in batting average when it comes to MLB. He has 28 home runs to his name and now sees himself in a higher price tag.
