The final team to join the Asia Cup squads was Hong Kong, which qualified for the fourth time after beating the United Arab Emirates in the qualifier held in Oman on Wednesday, August 24. They will be a part of Group A, joining India and Pakistan for the subcontinental showpiece. The other group, Group B, includes Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan.
Having beaten Singapore in the ICC Men’s T20 Global Qualifier Group B, Hong Kong were in top form heading into their Asia 2022 Qualifiers. They maintained that by winning all three games beating Singapore, Kuwait, and United Arab Emirates in the process.
