Team India registered a thumping win against minnows Hong Kong and qualified for the Super Four stage of the ongoing Asia Cup 2022 on August 31 (Wednesday). Suryakumar Yadav played a stunning knock of 68 not out in just 26 balls as India set a daunting target of 193 runs for the associate nation. In reply, Hong Kong managed to score 152-5 in 20 overs and ended up losing the contest by 40 runs.
While Suryakumar's stylish strokes and imperious knock hogged all the limelight, fans also took note of one moment that transpired for the first time in six years. Former India captain Virat Kohli donned the hat of a bowler against Hong Kong and soon after he finished his over, social media went into overdrive.
The right-arm part-time bowler came into the attack in the 17th over. He couldn't manage to pick up a wicket but conceded just six runs in the over.

It was in 2016 when Kohli rolled his arm over in an international game. The moment transpired in the T20 World Cup against West Indies. In his 101-match T20I career, Kohli has bagged four wickets.
“No one in the team believes in my bowling but I do. After that I had back issues and then never bowled (in an international match),” Kohli said in a Star Sports interview.
Meanwhile, the maverick batter scored his 31st half-century in T20I cricket on Wednesday. The right-handed batter remained not out on 59 runs in 44 balls and found some rhythm against a rookie Hong Kong bowling attack.
