Former Team India's selector Sarandeep Singh has voiced his strong recommendation for the Indian cricket team's management as he advocates for the inclusion of the yet-to-debut star wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma and the promising young fast bowler, Avesh Khan, in the lineup for the third T20I against Ireland.
With India already claiming the series, Sarandeep posits that this serves as an opportune juncture to infuse fresh talent and give emerging players like Sharma a platform to demonstrate their mettle. The debate circles around Sanju Samson, who, despite being granted chances, hasn't entirely seized them. This raises an intricate question: Should the management persist with Samson or pave the way for Jitesh Sharma?
Jitesh Sharma's recent call-up to the Indian squad doesn't come as a surprise for avid cricket enthusiasts. Even though we couldn't give him a chance during the West Indies series due to the back-and-forth nature of the matches, we should certainly provide him with an opportunity here. Jitesh Sharma should also get a chance."
Nevertheless, juxtaposing Sarandeep's perspective is another JioCinema expert, Abhishek Nayar. He leans more towards continuity and stability. As per Nayar, "I'd prefer not to see any changes. It's a very short tour, just these T20Is. Therefore, it's important to ensure that the players who have been given an opportunity continue to play."
