Indian opener Shubman Gill's Indian Premier League (IPL) teammate Manav Suthar picked up seven wickets in the ongoing Duleep Trophy 2024. Manav Suthar got seven scalps in the second innings while playing against India-C captained by Rituraj Gaikwad. After his destructive bowling, Shreyas Iyer-led India D scored just 236 runs in the second innings and gave a target of 233 runs to India-C. Manav Suthar is the part of IPL franchise Gujarat Titans in 2024 where he played just one match and yet to take a wicket.
Manav Suthar took seven wickets
At the Anantapur ground, Rajasthan's left-arm spinner Manav Suthar continued to take wickets for India-C on the third day after the second day. Suthar took seven wickets for 49 runs in a spell of 19.1 overs. Shreyas Iyer captained India-D once again unable to score big and scored only 236 runs. Iyer, who flopped in the first innings, scored 54 runs in 44 balls with nine fours and a six in the second innings. His team was able to cross the 200 mark. At the same time, Vijay Kumar Vaishak took two wickets in the second innings for India-C apart from Suthar. While Suthar, who took only one wicket in the first innings, took a total of eight wickets in both innings.

India-C have a chance to win
Earlier in the match, India-C won the toss and chose to bowl first. In response, India-D, captained by Shreyas Iyer, could not stay on the pitch for long and was all out for 164 runs. In the first innings, Axar Patel from Iyer's team scored 86 runs in 118 balls with six fours and six sixes. In response, India-C batter could not do anything special and their team was all out for 168 runs with a lead of four runs. But now India-C would like to achieve the target of 233 runs and register a win.
