Pakistan are chasing a huge total of 401 set by New Zealand.

Rain has halted the ongoing World Cup clash between Pakistan and New Zealand at the M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru. New Zealand batting first posted a colossal total of 401/6 riding on Rachin Ravindra's brilliant century and Kane Williamson's robust 95. In reply, Pakistan are solid at 160/1 with Fakhar Zaman (106) and Babar Zaman (47) intact on the crease after 21.3 overs.

Let's take a look at all the DLS permutation and combinations if the match doesn't start and persistent rain lead to a washout game.

In that case Pakistan are 10 runs ahead of New Zealand as the DLS par score after 21.3 overs is 150. In such scenario Pakistan will end up winning the game which will boost their semifinal hopes further with crucial two more points.

The match will start losing overs after 17:40 PM IST.

However, the Chinnaswamy stadium's ground is equipped with subsurface aeration and vacuum-powered drainage facilities. It takes barely a few minutes to remove rainwater with the help of a remotely controlled system.

Talking about the match Zaman wreaked havoc on New Zealand's bowlers from the word go and steadied Pakistan's boat after the early dismissal of Abdullah Shafique in the very second over.

Zaman cracked nine sixes and four boundaries in his unbeaten 106-run knock. Meanwhile, the star southpaw, who took just 63 balls to notch his ton, clobbered the fastest ODI World Cup hundred by a Pakistani and shattered the record held by Saleem Malik, whose 94-ball century against Sri Lanka in 1987 at Faisalabad was previously the fastest by a Pakistan batter in World Cups. Fakhar also went past Imran Nazir’s record of most sixes in a World Cup innings by a Pakistan player. Nazir had struck eight sixes during his 121-ball 160 against Zimbabwe.

Babar turned the second fiddle with an unbeaten 47 off 51 and stitched an instrumental 154-run partnership with Zaman.

In a full fledged match, Pakistan will have the chase down the mammoth target in 35.2 overs to pip the New Zealand on NRR and stay afloat in the semis race.

Earlier, New Zealand rode on Kane Williamson's brilliant 95 and Rachin Ravindra's third century of the ongoing ODI World Cup to post a towering total of 401/6. This is only the second time that the 400-run mark has been breached in the ongoing showpiece.
