India vs Australia third Test match will start from December 14.

The third Test match between India and Australia will take place in Gabba.

India's young batter Shubman Gill reckons that the upcoming third Test match against Australia will be challenging considering the intensity of previous games played at the iconic Gabba Stadium from December 14. Rohit Sharma-led team India are currently preparing in Brisbane for the upcoming challenge against the Baggy Greens.

Gill also reckoned that mental fitness will play a vital role in the upcoming clash against Pat Cummins-led side.

"I think the intensity with which games are played here is what makes it challenging. The mental intensity and fitness that's required here. Conditions are challenging but I think 35 overs till the second new ball it gets easier to bat. It's about mental fitness" said Shubman Gill during pre-match conference.

Team India are coming into the third Test match after losing a 10-wicket humiliating loss in the pink ball clash played in Adelaide. Gill who has joined the squad after missing the first Test match has joined the squad for the second clash. Gill holds a great record in Gabba. The young batter scored 91 runs in the second inning where Ajinkya Rahane-led India chased down a 328-run target.

India will most likely to shuffle their batting order again in the third Test match. Rohit Sharma will likely to open batting alongside Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul who featured as an opener his last two clashes will play at number six.

India's record in Brisbane

The Men in Blue played seven Test matches at The Gabba since their first match in 1947. Team India have lost five games. Won one and one match ended as a draw.

The upcoming third Test match is important for India considering the World Test Championship (WTC) final. Last edition's finalists India need to win their remaining three Test matches against Australia to seal their spot in the WTC final for the third consecutive time without depending on other teams' outcomes. The WTC final is scheduled to take place next year in England.
