IND vs ENG: Rishabh Pant on cusp of scripting history and breaking his own big record in Manchester Test

India vice-captain Rishabh Pant has scored 425 runs in the three Test matches of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, including two centuries in the first Test. 
 

The wicketkeeper batter has smashed 15 sixes in his three outings of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025, which is the most by any batter in the ongoing series. 
 

Pant got an injury in the third Test match and the skipper will take wicketkeeping duties, but Shubman Gill earlier confirmed that he his fit for the fourth Test and will be seen behind the wickets. 
 

The fourth Test match between India and England will take place from 23 to 27 July at Old Trafford Cricket Ground in Manchester. 
 

Rishabh Pant holds the record for being the Indian wicketkeeper-batter with the most number of sixes in a calendar year. He hit 21 sixes in Tests in 2022.
 

The wicketkeeper batter has smashed 20 sixes in the longest format this year. He needs two more sixes in the Manchester Test to break his record.
 

England are currently leading 2-1 after defeating India by 22 runs in the third Test match at Lord's Stadium in London.
