Team India wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan celenrated his 25th birthday on July 18 (Tuesday). The left-handed batter is currently in the Caribbean with the Indian Test side which is preparing for the second match of the series against West Indies. Captain Rohit Sharma spoke with reporters ahead of the second Test and one of the questions asked to the Indian skipper was what gift he would give to birthday boy Ishan Kishan. The Hitman replied in his typical style that left everyone around him burst out in laughter.

"What birthday gift he wants? Kya chahiye bhai tereko?' (What do you want brother?) You have everything," Rohit said.

"We should ask the team about this. It should be the team's contribution. Birthday gift tu hum logo ko dey bhai 100 - run karkey (You should give us a birthday gift by scoring 100 runs)," the Indian captain added.

Talking about Kishan, the Mumbai Indians' star made his Test debut in the 1st Test between India and West Indies in Dominica. He remained unbeaten on one run in the first innings.

The second Test match between West Indies and India is scheduled to be played at Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad.

Meanwhile, India wrapped up the first Test against the West Indies in just three days as they secured a massive innings and 141-run victory over the hosts in Roseau, Dominica, on Friday, July 15. Windies needed 271 runs to take the lead but seven wickets by Ravichandran Ashwin bundled them for 130 runs in the second innings. However, the hero with the bat on his Test debut was Yashasvi Jaiswal.

On his Test match debut, young prodigy Jaiswal left an ever-lasting impression on cricket followers around the world. The left-handed batter scored a well-constructed century in the first Test match against West Indies. The southpaw displayed great composure and patience as he batted for a record 387 deliveries on his debut and scored 171 runs with the help of 16 fours and one sixes. It was a dream come true moment for Jaiswal, who once used to sell 'pani puri' for pocket money.
