The second Test match of the two-Test series between India and West Indies saw former India skipper Virat Kohli hit a century as Team India, playing in his 500th international match. In doing so, he has become the first batter in the world to score a century in his 500th match.

At the same time, the mother of one West Indies cricketer hugged him and at the same time, tears welled up in his eyes. A video of the same has surfaced on social media.

West Indies wicketkeeper-batter Joshua Da Silva wanted Virat Kohli to hit his century, as was heard on the stump mics. When Kohli was batting, there was a conversation between the two as well!

The incident took place when Kohli was returning to the hotel from the Port of Spain after hitting a century. At the same time, Joshua's mother reached the team bus after meeting Kohli and she hugged Kohli twice. Joshua's mother also became so emotional as tears started falling from her eyes.

Talking about the match, India started Day 2 on 288/4 with Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja on the pitch. Soon after the start of the day's play, Kohli reached his 29th Test century, equalling legendary Australian batter Don Bradman’s tally. It took him 180 deliveries to reach his 12th international hundred against West Indies, coming off a boundary against Shannon Gabriel's bowling.

In the West Indies innings, skipper Kraigg Brathwaite has had a bright start to the game, remaining unbeaten on 37 with Tagenarine Chanderpaul only managing 33 runs in 95 balls before losing his wicket to Ravindra Jadeja. At stumps, the Windies were 86/1 with Kirk McKenzie on strike at the other end.
