Gujarat Titans’ (GT) Sai Sudharsan has made his entry into the top five highest run-getters of the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he scored 31 runs in the losing cause against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). He replaced the Rajasthan Royals’ (RR) explosive batter Riyan Parag from second spot, who was in the second position. Meanwhile, GT skipper Shubman Gill came into the fourth spot in the Orange Cap race. LSG’s Nicholas Pooran made his way to the top five after scoring crucial 32 runs in LSG's 33-run win over GT.
Currently, Virat Kohli is standing right at the top of the leading scorer list and is donning the coveted Orange Cap on his head.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s (RCB) star batter Virat Kohli is the current highest run-getter in this IPL season. He has scored 316 runs from five matches with two fifties and a century against the RR in their last match. Virat has scored runs at an average of 105.33 and has a strike rate of 146.29.
2. Sai Sudharsan
GT’s young batter Sai Sudharsan is impressing everyone with his batting this season. Despite not scoring a single fifty, he is in the second spot right behind Virat Kohli. He has scored 191 runs in five matches with a strike rate of 129.05.
3. Riyan Parag
RR’s middle-order batter Riyan Parag has gone down to the third spot in the orange cap race. He has scored 185 runs from four matches at a strike rate of 158.11.
4. Shubman Gill
GT skipper Shubman Gill has come to the fourth spot in the race for the orange cap. Gill has made 183 runs from five matches with a strike rate of 147.58. He played a knock of 89 runs against the Punjab Kings (PBKS), although PBKS won the match by three wickets. Last season, Gill won the orange cap for smashing 890 runs from 17 matches.
5. Nicholas Pooran
West Indies pinch hitter and LSG’s Nichola Pooran has come into the top five because of his crucial 32-run knock against the GT. Pooran has scored 178 runs from four matches with a strike rate of 169.52. He has made a fifty against RR but LSG lost the match by 20 runs.

Completing the top five was the emerging talent Yashasvi Jaiswal, who made a significant impact by gathering 625 runs and establishing himself as a noteworthy player in the IPL.
