Star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal created history and became the first bowler to pick up 200 wickets in IPL history during the clash between Rajasthan Royals and Mumbai Indians in match 38 of the ongoing edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, on April 22 (Monday). He reached this epic milestone in just 153 matches.

Yuzvendra Chahal creates history

Chahal completed this epic feat after dismissing veteran player Mohammad Nabi in the 8th over of Mumbai's innings. He was extremely happy after reaching this milestone as he got on his knees to celebrate the moment. No other bowler in IPL history has even taken 185 wickets.

After Chahal, it is Dwayne Bravo (183 wickets) and Piyush Chawla (181 wickets) in the list. However, both of them are way too behind the dynamic leg spinner. He is also making a big statement about his inclusion in the Indian squad for the upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup 2024.

MI's top-order collapse

Mumbai Indians' top order collapsed in the clash against Rajasthan Royals. Rohit Sharma departed in the first over itself against Trent Boult after scoring just 6 runs off 5 balls. Then Sandeep Sharma dismissed Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav to give MI two more big blows inside the powerplay.

Then it was Yuzi Chahal who dismissed Nabi in the 8th over to send the MI top order back to the pavilion inside the first 10 overs. Nabi departed after scoring just 23 runs off 17 balls. He was building a crucial partnership with Tilak Varma but couldn't make it big.
