South African wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock scored a cracking 50 off just 29 balls as Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) sank the Kolkata Knight Riders' (KKR) spirits as well as their chances of making it to the playoffs after beating them by 75 runs. The new Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 entrants rode on De Kock's half-century to score 176 runs, and then brilliantly bowled to dismiss the KKR batters for just 101 runs.
Meanwhile, an Indian wicketkeeper-batter Sanju Samson, who is the skipper of Rajasthan Royals, scored a quickfire 23 runs in 12 balls at a strike rate of 191.67. His quick runs earned him a spot in the top 10, moving up to 10th while Shubman Gill of Gujarat Titans (GT) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Faf du Plessis moved out of the top 10 batters of the season.
