Amid a more than lively uproarious Kolkata crowd Bollywood's megastar Shah Rukh Khan registered his presence at the iconic Eden Gardens stadium to cheer for his Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the high-voltage Indian Premier League (IPL) contest against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday (April 6).

KKR's co-owner's presence in the stadium doubled up the fans' excitement who welcomed their favourite Bollywood star with a high decibel encore. SRK didn't shy away from greeting his fans in his own typical Badshah style as he was seen hurling kisses and waving at them.

This is the first time in four years that KKR are playing in front of their home fans in Kolkata and Pathaan-movie star Shah Rukh Khan's presence only made it special for the former champions.

SRK, who was accompanied by his daughter Suhana Khan and her BFF Shanaya Kapoor, was dressed in the black hoodie that he wore over black pants.

A video is going viral on social media, wherein the Badshah of Bollywood can be seen grooving on the famous song Jhoome Jo Pathaan from his movie Pathaan playing which was playing in the background. SRK doing the hook step hogged all limelight.

Here's the video

Talking about the match, Faf Du Plessis won the toss and elected to bowl first against KKR. Faf Du Plessis made one change to RCB's playing XI as David Willy came in for injured Reece Topley. Meanwhile, KKR dropped Anukul Roy to bring in Venkatest Iyer. KKR could use 19-year-old spinner Suyash Sharma as their impact player, who is set to make his debut for KKR.

“Going to have a bowl. Bit of a misunderstanding with the accent there (confusion at the toss). Was dew last night. Hoping it will get skiddy in the second innings. That's a long way away. Today is a completely new game. Really motivated to put in a good performance. Forced change with Topley being injured. Willey comes in,” RCB skipper said.

KKR rode on stunning knocks from Shardul Thakur and Rahmanullah Gurbaz to post a colossal target of 205 for KKR to chase. While Shardul turned batter to crack a blistering 68 off 29, Gurbaz struck a brilliant 57 off 44 to steer KKR to a big total.
