Ahead of the three-match T20I series against New Zealand, former Indian pacer Zaheer Khan believes India’s newly-appointed T20I captain, Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid will be the ones to watch out. India had a disappointing T20 World Cup and were knocked out of the tournament with two defeats in group stages.

"India will be absolutely hurt about not making it to the semis. It will be the talk of the series. In many ways, this is turning a new page in Indian cricket. The series chatter and the focus will be on Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma. Also, where Indian cricket is going in terms of strategy and tactics," the former World Cup winner told Cricbuzz.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had already opted to rest experienced players including former T20I skipper Virat Kohli, speedster Jasprit Bumrah and star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for the T20I series. Rohit had previously captained India, but this will be the first time he takes on the role as a full-time captain. Dravid, on the other hand, was recruited as interim coach for India's tour of Sri Lanka earlier this year when a second-string side led by Shikhar Dhawan were beaten in T20I series.

The Men in Blue will have a lot to prove and rebuild as a side before the T20 World Cup in Australia next year. India will start their redemption journey against the BlackCaps on November 17 at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur in the first T20I of the three-match series.
