Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir has been tested positive for COVID-19. As a result, the left-arm pacer has pulled out from the Abu Dhabi T10 league which will commence on November 19. The 29-year-old is a part of the Bangla Tigers squad. Amur tweeted that he will not play the Abu Dhabi T10 league as he has contracted the virus. He added that he is fine now and needs prayers for a fast recovery.
Amir who retired from international cricket on December 17, 2020, after clashes with coaches, plays only in domestic leagues in various countries.

“Hi everyone just wanted to say m I am not playing T10 league this year because I got affected with the covid but now I am fine ALHUMDULILLAH just need prayers for the speedy recovery,” tweeted Amir from his Twitter account.
The Abu Dhabi T10 league will commence from November 19, 2021. The final of the league is scheduled on December 4, 2021. All the matches will be played in Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi. This will be fifth edition of the league with Northern Warriors coming as the defending champions of the tournament.
