Pakistan's star batter Sidra Ameen shattered records with a monstrous knock of 176 to bulldoze Irish women by a massive margin of 128 runs in the first ODI of the three-match series at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Friday (November 4).

Pakistan's opening batters, Muneeba Ali and Sidra Ameen, set a record-breaking 221-run opening partnership to power their side to a gigantic total of 335/3.

In reply, Ireland teas was bundled out for just 207 in 49.3 overs as Laura Delany remained the top scorer with an impressive 69 off 92. Nida Dar was pick of the bowlers for Pakistan as she snared 3/34.

Sidra scored 176 runs from 151 deliveries with 20 fours and one six which is the highest individual score ever for Pakistan and surpassed Javeria Khan's 133 runs. This is also the fifth-highest ODI individual score in history. Muneeba also struck a scintillating 107 off 114 which was decorated with 10 fours and two sixes, before falling to Arlene Nora Kelly.

The opening pair's 221-run stand broke Bismah Maroof and Nida Dar's 181-run fourth-wicket partnership against Ireland in Dublin in 2013.

It is also worth noting that this is the highest-ever opening partnership for Women in Green, with the previous opening partnership being 158 against Sri Lanka earlier this year.

Pakistan’s flamboyant opening batter, Sidra Ameen, broke the record for most centuries by a Pakistani batter. Sidra is only one of four Pakistani batters to cross the century mark and no Pakistani batter has done it on more occasions than her.

Sidra now has three centuries in ODI cricket as she surpassed experienced batter, Javeria Khan, who has scored two centuries in her 14-year international career. Apart from Sidra and Javeria, former cricketer, Nain Abidi, and opener, Muneeba Ali, have scored centuries for the Women in Green in ODIs.

Sidra brought up her sensational century in only 102 balls.
