Australia defeated India by 10 wickets in second Test match.

India vs Australia second Test match will start from December 14.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan jokingly mocked India after Australia defeated Rohit Sharma-led side by 10 wickets to level the five-Test series 1-1 within just two-and-a-half days. For Australia, it was Travis Head who single-handedly changed the game in favour of the hosts. Head smashed 140 runs during the first innings helping Australia to score a mammoth of 337 runs.

Vaughan who keeps doing banter with former India cricketer Wasim Jaffer shared a picture where the fans gathered inside the ground after Australia's win. He captioned the picture, "This is the field India needed for Travis Head"

Head was one of the reasons behind India's loss in the ODI World Cup 2023 final. He smashed an unbeaten 137-run knock that helped Australia to record their sixth World Cup title. Before that, Head was the stand-out performer during India's second outing in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final. He played a stunning knock of 163 runs off 174 balls including 24 fours and six maximums that helped Australia to a commanding 209-run win. Head was the Player of the Tournament on both occasions.

India vs Australia 2nd Test match

Australia defeated India by 10 wickets in the pink-ball Test to maintain their record of winning the day/night Test against India. India started the Day 3  at 128 for 5, Nitish Kumar Reddy's (42). India's second innings lasted only 36.5 overs, with skipper Pat Cummins using the short ball effectively to claim 5 for 57. Scott Boland (3/51) inflicted early damage, while Mitchell Starc (2/60) chipped in with crucial wickets. This was the shortest-ever Test between India and Australia regarding balls bowled.

Australia needed 19 runs in the second Test match to win the second match. India and Australia will now lock horns against each other for the third Test match which is scheduled to start from December 14 at The Gabba.
