With the Indian Premier League (IPL) mini-auction less than two weeks away, the franchise will be keeping an eye on franchise leagues around the world to add utility players to their arsenal. Big-hitting England wicketkeeper-batter Tom Kohler-Cadmore might be on the list of a few after smashing a half-century from just 12 balls in the ongoing Abu Dhabi T10 League on December 5. Kohler-Cadmore is a wicketkeeper-batter as well which may make him more appealing in the auction.

In the run chase of 101 against Angelo Mathews-led Northern Warriors, the Deccan Gladiators went berserk from the first over itself. He hit Mathews for four sixes in the first over itself to set the tone. He did not let the wicket of skipper Nicholas Pooran affect his scoring rate. In the fourth over, he smashed South Africa's Tabraiz Shamsi for three sixes and one four.
He reached his half-century from just 12 balls. He remained unbeaten for 69 runs from 19 ballas as Andre Russell finished the run chase on the first ball of the seventh over. His unbeaten 19-ball 69 was laced with four fours and eight sixes. The Gladiators won the match by eight wickets with 23 balls to spare.
Earlier, Pooran won the toss and opted to field first. Nuwan Thushara removed the openers Hazratullah Zazai and Kenna Lewis. After the top order collapse, James Neesham and Mathews rescued the Warriors from 12/3. Thushara came back into the attack and dismissed Matthews and Azmatullah Omarzai in the eighth over. After cameos from Neesham and Matthews, Rahul Chopra's cameo helped the Warriors post 100/6.
Cadmore's 12-ball half-century is the fastest of the ongoing T10 league season. He has been in fine form for the Gladiators in the tournament. He is the top run-scorer in the league with 266 runs from six innings at an average of 88.67 including two half-centuries. His strike rate is an impressive 233.33.
