Former India captain and legendary batter, Virender Sehwag picked the first five players he would select in his dream ODI XI and the selection was on the expected lines barring one surprise pick. Sehwag selected three superstars of Indian cricket, one swashbuckling opening batter from Australia and one explosive batter from New Zealand as his first five choices in a dream ODI XI. India captain Rohit Sharma, ex-skipper Virat Kohli and premier paceman Jasprit Bumrah got the nod while David Warner and Glenn Phillips were also named by Sehwag.
"They are all talented players and perform well in ODI cricket and they can win the games on their own shoulders," Sehwag told ICC.
"Whenever they click, their team will win," he added.
Let's take a look at the records of all the five players:
Rohit Sharma: The stylish opening batter will go down as one of the greats of white-ball cricket. The Hitman has scored 9,922 runs in 246 matches at an average of 48.88 and a strike rate of 90.09. He has registered 30 centuries and 49 fifties in ODI cricket. Moreover, the stylish batter also has three double hundreds in ODIs.
