After failed to perform in the T20 World Cup 2024, Shan Masood will lead the team for upcoming two Test match series against Bangladesh scheduled to start from August 21. The Pakistan cricket team was seen sweating out in ground for their upcoming assignment. Both teams have aleady announced their squad for the red-ball cricket.
Pakistan cricket board practice session
PCB shared a video on their YouTube where Test-bound cricketers were spotted doing catching practice, this Test series will be important for Pakistan citing the World Test Championship final.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) have permitted the Bangladesh Cricket team to come early for the practice session ahead of the series, Bangladesh will arrive on August 13. Bangladesh are currently facing political tensions and mishaps within the country. Recently Muhammad Yunus was sworn in as the head of Bangladesh's interim government on Thursday. This was followed by the protest against former Prime Minister Sheikh Haseena.
After this Test series against Pakistan, Bangladesh will travel to India for the three-Test match series scheduled to start from September 19. India veteran speedster Mohammed Shami will also make his international comeback with this series. Shami last featured for India during the final of ODI World Cup 2023 against Austarlia. However, India star speedster Jasprit Bumrah will likely to miss the Test because of workload management.
