New York Yankees player Oswaldo Cabrera has said that his recovery after his surgery is going well and is on track. He suffered a season ending left ankle fracture on May 12 when he was playing against the Seattle Mariners.

The sight was scary for the players on the field as he was visibly in pain. The staff members immediately rushed towards him and the 26-year-old was further taken to the hospital.
Despite undergoing a surgery to his rehab, Cabrera has found back his smile. He shared what drove him during his rehab.
I want to (play), obviously. I’m not happy to be here and not playing. To be with my guys and watch them, I’m happy to watch what they are doing out there, but I want to be with them outside. That’s my motivation that I have, to do my things to get back sooner.
Recently, he was seen riding scooter in the New York Yankees clubhouse in order to support his teammates. While the medical staff has ruled out Oswaldo Cabrera from the rest of the season, the player still eyes of making a return to the field in the latter half of the campaign.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone mentioned that there is very little hope of Cabrera returning to the field as it all depends on how he does in future. Till now, he has been attending all his appointments. He has even admitted that he hates riding the scooter everywhere.

As soon as Oswaldo Cabrera was taken to the hospital, he smiled when he saw Yankees manager Aaron Boone in the room. Cabrera even shared that Boone made some remarks to lighten the atmosphere.
Cabrera rated his pain to a level of eight out of ten scale. He shared a laugh after he had his surgery where he saw holes everywhere in his leg. The ligament damage was such that the repair needed to be done with the help of plates and screws.
Recalling the night he sustained his injury, Cabrera said it was a touching moment to see how everybody cared for each other. Not just this, he even mentioned that it was due to the hospital protocol or else, the whole room would have been crowded.
