The impressive speed of the Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani has earned him a career-high 59 stolen bases in the ongoing Major League Baseball (MLB) season and his teammate Mookie Betts is not much surprised by it. Betts recently made his appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' where he spoke highly about Ohtani.

What did Mookie Betts have to say about his teammate Shohei Ohtani?

During Mookie Betts's recent appearance on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live', Betts was asked whether he was quicker than his Japanese International teammate. The two-time World Series champion said, "No chance I'm faster than Ohtani. He would beat me in a race. He would beat pretty much everybody."

Betts also mentioned that it was a humbling experience to share the field with Ohtani and nobody can surpass the skills of his teammate.

"You work so hard, you know, your whole life, and you want to be the best. And no matter how hard you work, you're not going to be better than that of Shohei Ohtani," Betts added.

Despite Betts agreeing to the fact that Ohtani is the quickest, but, in reality, the quickest are Royals' Bobby Witt Jr. and Elly De La Cruz. Shohei Ohtani became the first player to record a 50-50 season and has 54 home runs and 59 stolen bases to his name. He is behind Elly De La Cruz who topped the charts for most stolen bases (67).

I don't know if I'd be scared or not: Mookie Betts

The Pfister Hotel situated on Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee is known to be 'haunted'. Most of the visiting teams who are set to play Brewers stay at the hotel and many haunted stories are associated with the place. This is the reason behind Betts not staying at the hotel

In the Los Angeles Dodgers' last visit to Milwaukee, Betts didn't stay at the hotel as every other of his teammates did. He was asked on the 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' show why didn't he stay there and he said, "I'm pretty sure everybody in here is familiar with ghosts, and I'm pretty sure most people in here would be scared if ghosts were in your rooms. I don't know if I'd be scared or not. I'm going to assume I would, but I just would prefer not to find out."

Betts even mentioned that he believes in spirits.
