National Basketball Association (NBA) legend Carmelo Anthony made a striking revelation in 2005 when he appeared on the famous MTV 'Cribs' show. He was playing for the Denver Nuggets at the time, and he opened the doors of his penthouse to show them around and give them a tour of his place.

What did Carmelo Anthony say on MTV Cribs?

After showing off the pool table area and the views he had of the city, he went to his kitchen and then his bedroom. Then, he took the camera towards the bathroom and said, 'This is a place of business.'

He then revealed that he hardly takes baths and believes that males shouldn't take them. "I don't take baths, I don't believe that male should take baths. The dirt still stealing your back," Anthony said.

This incident took place 19 years ago as Anthony was still fresh in the NBA and was playing his second season. It's still unclear whether his thoughts have changed or not but he still speaks his mind on the matters he likes to see.

He made another appearance on the Cribs show and this time he was joined by Indiana Pacers star Danny Granger.

I'm for it. I'm for athletes in ownership: Carmelo Anthony

Apart from the matter that males shouldn't take baths, he shared his views on former athletes becoming owners. During Tuesday's episode of his '7PM in Brooklyn' show, the former New York Knicks and Denver Nuggets star said he would like to see more former players becoming owners and with their past experiences, run the day-to-day matters.

"I'm for it. I'm for athletes in ownership. I think there's not enough of us in those seats. There's not enough of us in those boardrooms making the basketball decisions and being able to sit at the table and not just write a check and tell somebody else to go run it," Anthony said.

But, LeBron James' agent and businessman, Rich Paul thinks otherwise and says that players should only join ownership groups when they have experience in running organisations.

"For me, it's a double-edged sword. I would rather them be able to have access to the deal flow of the groups that are buying these teams and be able to invest alongside the governors and owners of these teams in addition to being able to own teams," Paul said.

It is believed that James will become a team owner once he hangs up his boots. Former NBA legend Michael Jordan has owned the Charlotte Hornets' for over a decade now. Tom Brady also joined the list by becoming the minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
