LA Lakers picked up a convincing over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday, and it was Luka Doncic, who finally made his thumping presence felt in the purple and golden outfit since making his debut. Doncic scored his first 30-plus points for the Lakers and also registered 10 rebounds and 7 assists in the game. Luka Doncic Gets Appreciation Over His Defensive Work from Lakers Coach JJ Redick

Besides being spectacular at the offensive end, Luka Doncic proved to be handy in defense as well on the day. The star guard grabbed four steals in the game, which did not go out of notice from Lakers coach JJ Redick, who commended his player following the culmination of the contest in a hilarious fashion.

“Luka, it’s good to have you f—— back,” Redick said.

“Four steals,” Doncic said.

“First team All-Defense. First team All-Defense,” Redick replied.

The exchange between JJ Redick and Doncic throws shade at the assertions that are made related to his defensive work. Doncic not being a problem solver in defense was one of the apparent reasons that came forward behind his sudden offloading from the Mavericks squad. Redick's praise of Doncic highlights that the Slovenian is a competent defender as well.

Luka Doncic Highlights The 'Only' Goal of LA Lakers

Following the culmination of the game, a spirited Luka Doncic presented his thoughts on the transition and stated that he is doing the work to form the tuning with his new teammates, and the chemistry among them is only getting better. Doncic also made it known the ultimate prize for which the team is playing.

“Our goal is to win the championship, that’s our only goal,” Doncic said when asked how far the team can go.

“And I think we have the team for that. Obviously the chemistry with me and the guys is gonna take a little time but as you saw today, I think it’s getting better and better.”

It was only their second win in the last 15 games against the Nuggets, which further highlights the fact that if they click together then there 
is no side in the world that can topple them.
