The Lakers made headlines at the NBA trade deadline by acquiring Luka Doncic, adding another elite playmaker alongside James. With help from recently traded star Anthony Davis, the Lakers have surged to a 31-19 record under first-year head coach JJ Redick, currently sitting fifth in the Western Conference standings.

Their previous win came despite missing both James and Doncic due to injuries, with Austin Reaves stepping up with a career-high 45 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists.  

 James and Doncic Upgraded to Play vs. Utah  
The Lakers initially listed James as questionable for Monday's matchup due to left ankle soreness, but he has since been upgraded to probable, signaling a likely return. Doncic has also been upgraded, paving the way for his much-anticipated Lakers debut.  

James’ Dominance Against the Warriors  
James last played on Thursday against the Golden State Warriors, where he put on a masterclass performance, scoring 42 points and grabbing 17 rebounds. Despite missing only four games this season, his impact on the court remains undeniable as he continues to push the Lakers toward championship contention.
