They are eyeing for a spot in the playoffs, thus making the match against Suns an important affair. But, LeBron James would not be starting as he is ruled out for the clash due to a leg injury. 

James has been averaging 27.4 points, 9.6 rebounds and 7.7 assists in the last 20 games he has featured in. His absence would be felt on the court as Lakers would look to turn their fortune's around, as they are on a four game losing streak. 

The injury list for the Lakers have eight players with LeBron James and Rui Hachimura (knee, both) have been ruled out of the contest. Meanwhile, Jaxson Hayes (knee), Luka Doncic (calf) and Dalton Knecht (back) are listed as probable. Dorian Finney-Smith (ankle) and Gabe Vincent (knee) remain questionable. Maxi Kleber (foot) is also out of the contest. 

Despite the injury issues, the Lakers have managed to boast a +83 scoring differential this season. They are ranked 18th in the league in scoring (113 points per game) and are 11th in the defense (111.7 points allowed per game). Austin Reaves has stepped up in the absence of James as he averages 19.2 points per game alongside Luka Doncic, who has been consistent with his performances as he averages 17 points, 8.4 rebounds per game. 

On the other hand, Phoenix Suns have their own injury issues. Grayson Allen (foot) is out, Monte Morris (back) is questionable and Nick Richards (ankle) is probable. The Suns are placed on the 11th spot in the Western Conference with as record of 31-36, as they fight to stay in the playoff picture. Devin Booker has led the charge for the Suns as he averages 24.8 points per game and Kevin Durant's 22.1 points per game in the last 20 matches.
