The Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes shared his reaction following Game 7 of the NBA Finals between Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers, which the former won 103-91 to clinch the title. He had consolatory words for Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton, who suffered an injury.

What was Patrick Mahomes' message to Tyrese Haliburton?

During the first quarter of the game, Tyrese Haliburton fell to the ground and was in evident pain while driving to the basket. He was further ruled out of the clash. According to his father, John Haliburton, his son has suffered an unfortunate ACL injury during Game 7 of the NBA Finals.

The Kansas City Chiefs' star quarterback took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share his consolatory words for Tyrese Haliburton.

Prayers up man... (three praying emojis)

Before leaving the clash, Tyrese Haliburton had nine points to his name. In his absence, the Indiana Pacers faltered despite leading by one point at halftime. Not just this, the Pacers allowed 34 points in the third quarter itself.

Benedict Mathurin was the leading scorer with 24 points and 13 rebounds for the Eastern Conference champions. TJ McConnell and Pascal Siakam both had 16 points each, while Andrew Nembhard had 15 points to his name.

On the other hand, the Oklahoma City Thunder was led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who notched up a double-double of 29 points and 12 assists. He also became the first player since LeBron James to win both the regular season and Finals MVP awards. Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren combined for 38 markers, while Alex Caruso and Carson Wallace each had 10 off the bench.

Rich Eisen's prediction for Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City Chiefs

Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs lost the Super Bowl LIX earlier this year to Philadelphia Eagles despite going 15-2 during the regular season. Since then, they have lost some of the key contributors.

Multiple-time All-Pro and Pro-Bowl guard Joe Thuney was traded to Chicago Bears. DeAndre Hopkins went to conference rivals Baltimore Ravens. Tershawn Wharton and Justin Reid made their ways to Carolina Panthers and New Orleans Saints.

But, Rich Eisen feels that with certain players leaving, the Kansas City Chiefs will still remain one of the great sides in 2025. On his show on Thursday, he predicted that in the upcoming campaign, the Chiefs will have another 15-win season and a top seed finish.

Until I see otherwise, I'm going to assume the Chiefs are going to be as good, as well-coached, as youthful as ever.

The Kansas City Chiefs will begin their season on September 5 against the Los Angeles Chargers in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The kick-off time is at 7:15 pm CT. The game will be live streamed on YouTube.
