The team finalised their roster and there are a couple of new faces who will play alongside Wembanyama. In a post on X, the entire roster had to first introduce themselves and then share an interesting fact about them.

What did Victor Wembanyama reveal as an interesting fact about himself?

Each player was candid and shared a fascinating truth about themselves. Julian Champagnie liked fictional robots such as Transformers and Zach Collins had a thing for cars. The rest of the roster was open to discuss their fun facts and when Victor's turn came, he surprised people by revealing that he was still learning how to drive.

"I'm currently learning how to drive," Wembanyama said.

Victor's first season in NBA was fantastic as his sole focus was to play basketball. Now that he's learning how to drive, it's just a matter of time before his fans get to his car around San Antonio.

Victor Wembenyama wants more accolades with the Spurs

Coming into the NBA, Victor Wembenyama certainly had a significant amount of hype surrounding him. Some people wanted him to succeed and some wanted him to fail. But the big man didn't disappoint and lived up to the hype that surrounded him.

In his rookie season with the Spurs, he managed to win the Rookie of the Year award. He also won the 2024 Block Champion, saw his name in the 2024 NBA All-Rookie Team and was part of the NBA All-Defensive First Team. Ahead of his second season, Wembenyama wants to achieve more accolades.

"It’s the same for all of my trophies, team trophies or even individual. I love them. I really cherish them. But I want all my trophies that I get right now to be bricks to build something great in the future. You know, one brick by itself is not much. You can get a palace when you accumulate them," Wembenyama added.

It is certainly evident that Victor has improved his game as he led the French national basketball team to a silver medal at the recently concluded 2024 Paris Olympics. Even Spurs coach Gregg Popovich spoke highly about his improvement.

"Victor was great. He improved steadily throughout the Olympics and ended up being very formidable. But for all the players over all these years that have played in FIBA and gone in the summertime, it’s always a plus," Popovich said.
