Team India captain Rohit Sharma is not someone who believes in hiding his emotions and, during the 3rd T20I against Afghanistan on January 17 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, the 'Hitman' was at his animated best. The Indian skipper was captured having multiple animated conversations with the on-field umpires on Wednesday. While it began with a friendly and humourous chat with Virender Sharma, it later turned into a proper anger-filled outburst from Rohit.
During the 14th over of India's innings, Rohit exhibited a striking display of emotion following a controversial decision by umpire Virender. This moment unfolded after Saleem Saifi delivered a full toss, which was clearly above Rohit's waist level. As the play proceeded with a single, Rohit intently watched the square leg umpire, Virender, expecting a no-ball call and a subsequent free-hit for India. However, to his astonishment, the umpire made no such signal, sparking a strong reaction from the Indian skipper.
Rohit, known for his expressive demeanor on the field, was visibly incredulous at the decision to consider the delivery legitimate. He made his disbelief clear, gesturing with his arms and attempting to persuade the umpire to declare it a no-ball. When his efforts did not sway the umpire's decision, Rohit's frustration visibly intensified.
Even after the commercial break, the Indian captain's agitation did not subside. As the game resumed and Rohit scored a single in the next over, he continued to express his dissatisfaction, engaging in a heated exchange with the umpire.

Despite being frustrated with the decision, Rohit continued to bash Afghanistan's bowling attack and raced to yet another century in T20Is. The 'Hitman' marked his fifth ton T20Is and remained unbeaten on 121 runs off 69 balls. In his destructive knock, Rohit pummeled 11 fours and eight towering sixes.
Rohit smashed three more sixes later when he batted twice in the Super Over. In the end, India clinched the nerve-jangling match by winning the second Super Over.
