In the 2023 Asia Cup final between India and Sri Lanka, numerous records were shattered while new milestones were created after Rohit Sharma's brigade trounced the Islanders by a margin of 10 wickets at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. After bundling out Sri Lanka for a paltry score of 50 runs in 15.2 overs, India chased down the target without even breaking a sweat. Mohammed Siraj bagged six wickets in his spell of seven overs that set India on course for an emphatic win.

1. Mohammed Siraj became the first Indian bowler in cricket history to bag four wickets in an over in international cricket.

2. Siraj became the quickest Indian and joint-fastest bowler in international cricket to complete five wickets in an ODI game. Siraj took just 16 deliveries to pick his first five wickets against Sri Lanka. Chaminda Vass of Sri Lanka had also bagged five wickets in 16 balls against Bangladesh in 2003.

3. Sri Lanka's total of 50 runs is the lowest score by a team against India in all formats of international cricket.

4. India bowled out Sri Lanka in 15.2 overs, which is the quickest by any Indian side.

5. Siraj's figures of 6/21 is the best by any bowler against Sri Lanka in ODI cricket.

6. India registered their biggest margin of victory in terms of balls remaining in ODI cricket. The Men in Blue won the game with 263 balls to spare.

7. For the first in history, India won two matches of a series or tournament by a margin of two wickets. India had earlier defeated Nepal by 10 wickets in the group stage of the Asia Cup.

8. Sri Lanka registered the lowest-ever team total in an ODI tournament final by getting all out for 50 runs.

9. India's win with 263 balls remaining was also the biggest victory by any team in an ODI tournament final in terms of balls to spare.
