In the 2023 Asia Cup Super 4s contest between India and Pakistan, the Men in Green captain Babar Azam was spotted cheekily trolling his premier paceman Haris Rauf on September 10 (Sunday). The incident occurred when Rauf got the ball to nip back and hit KL Rahul on the pads. Pakistan's right-arm pacer indulged in a huge appeal before the umpire said not out. Rauf, who was convinced of trapping Rahul in front of the stumps, tried his best to convince Babar to opt for the DRS.
Despite his best efforts, Babar was not convinced and decided to stick with the on-field decision. The Pakistan skipper even gestured to Rauf that the ball would bounce over the stumps with a cheeky smile on his face.

As it turned out, Babar was correct in his assessment as the replay showed that the ball would have travelled over the stumps.
Talking about the match, after India reached a score of 147/2 in 24.1 overs against Pakistan in the 2023 Asia Cup Super 4s contest, the skies opened up in Colombo and heavy downpour forced players to run into their respective dressing rooms. The ground staff rushed to the ground with covers from all corners in an attempt to prevent the playing area from relentless rain.
At the time when rain intervened, India's score was 147/2 after 24.1 overs with Virat Kohli batting on eight runs off 16 balls and KL Rahul partnering his former skipper at 17 not out off 28 balls.
The start of the game was all about Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, who batted exceptionally against the quality pace attack of Pakistan. The Indian captain scored his 50th half-century in ODIs after Shubman brought up his fifty. The duo registered a 121-run stand in 100 balls before Shadab Khan dismissed the Indian skipper. Rohit departed after scoring 56 runs off 49 balls with the help of six fours and four sixes.
Shaheen Afridi dismissed Shubman in the very next over as he outfoxed the Indian batter with a slower delivery. The right-handed batter departed after scoring 58 runs off 52 balls with the help of 10 fours.
