Having recovered well after his devastating injury in a car accident, Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant  is now working to get himself back into fitness for international cricket. The severity of his injuries means that the young star will definitely miss the upcoming ODI World Cup, but that did not stop him from attending the training camp for the India team ahead of their trip to Pallekele, Sri Lanka, for their opening match against arch-rivals Pakistan.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video with Pant as the main subject, as the wicketkeeper-batter is seen with a knee cap. He was seen in a little action, picking up the ball, and also joking around with teammate and ace spinner Kuldeep Yadav.

As the video came to an end, Rishabh Pant was also seen in a discussion with head coach Rahul Dravid, observing the training session and taking in the sights one last time before the team leaves for Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup 2023. Pant was seen sporting a black t-shirt, shorts in the video.

The southpaw recently took to social media to share a snippet of his rehabilitation journey after working on his recovery at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. On Instagram, he posted a video of himself cycling on a stationary bike, accompanied by the caption, "Grip. Twist. Paddle. Good vibes only." The video serves as a testament to his unwavering focus and determination during this crucial phase of recovery.

Pant looked in good spirits despite the long injury layoff as he said, “Once you keep growing older, you stop loving the game. One of the reasons is that there is a lot of pressure; you want to excel in life and do this and that. But enjoyment nahi miss karna hein life mein, (Don’t miss enjoyment in life).”
