India’s wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant is well on his recovery from injuries suffered in a horrific car accident on December 30, 2022. While Pant is unlikely to make his return to international cricket this year, he is in good spirits and visited Team India’s camp in Alur on August 2023.

Pant was seen sporting a black t-shirt, shorts, and a hat in the photos that have been making rounds on social media.

The southpaw also shared a video of him cycling on a machine with the caption, "Grip. Twist. Paddle. Good vibes only. On his Instagram stories, he shared a photo of his afternoon meal as well.

Pant’s recovery has surprised the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). He has been completing his rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), Bengaluru.

Earlier this month, Pant visited a sporting facility on Independence Day in an event organised by the JSW Foundation, the co-owners of Delhi Capitals.

Pant looked in good spirits despite the long injury layoff as he said, “Once you keep growing older, you stop loving the game. One of the reasons is that there is a lot of pressure; you want to excel in life and do this and that.

“But enjoyment nahi miss karna hein life mein, (Don’t miss enjoyment in life).”

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma-led India are currently training for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. In the camp, Pant also reunited with KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer who were recently recovering from their respective injuries that kept them away from action for months.

Iyer recently scored 199 in an intra-squad game and is set to play in India’s clash against Pakistan on September 2. On the other hand, Rahul has picked up a fresh niggle that puts his place in the high-voltage clash in jeopardy.

However, Rahul was seen keeping wickets alongside Ishan Kishan. If Rahul does not recover from the minor niggle in time, Kishan will feature in the playing XI.

India’s 18-member ODI squad: Rohit Sharma (Captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya (VC), Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna.
