India's focus will be on maintaining their momentum from the first match. However, attention will also be on two players who had less-than-ideal performances in the opening game in Vizag. Ruturaj Gaikwad, who was run out without facing a ball, is under pressure to prove his worth and cement his place in the T20 World Cup squad. This series is crucial for him to demonstrate his abilities and avoid any further mishaps. Additionally, pacer Prasidh Krishna, who conceded 50 runs in his four overs, capturing only one wicket, will be keen to improve his performance. Krishna joined the World Cup 2023 squad as a mid-tournament replacement for Hardik Pandya, who suffered an ankle injury.

Key players to watch in the upcoming match include Suryakumar Yadav, who is expected to replicate his match-winning performance from the first T20I. Yadav appears to have overcome his ODI form slump and is showcasing his best game once again. Another player in the spotlight is Rinku Singh, who has expressed his readiness for a call-up for the T20 World Cup. Singh played a notable role in the previous match against Australia, and despite his final six not counting, he is looking to continue his positive form with the Indian team.
