Indian cricket team captain Suryakumar Yadav expressed satisfaction with the Indian cricketers taking their responsibilities and executing their roles effectively in the ongoing T20I series against Australia. The Indian team secured a 2-0 lead by clinching a 44-run victory in the second match at the Greenfield International Stadium in Trivandrum on November 26.
India posted an imposing total of 235 runs for the loss of four wickets, following which they successfully limited Australia to 191 for nine.
"The boys aren't putting too much pressure on me, they're taking responsibility. I told them before the toss to be prepared to bat first. There was a lot of dew after three overs, told the boys to back themselves," Suryakumar was quoted as saying in the post-match presentation ceremony.
He was also happy with Rinku Singh's decisive performance in the match. Batting at No.5, Rinku scored an unbeaten 31 off nine deliveries, hitting four fours and two sixes.
Entering the crease towards the end of India's innings during the T20I second match, Rinku Singh swiftly seized attention with a dynamic cameo, scoring 31 runs off just 9 deliveries. This included four boundaries and two sixes.
The standout moment of Rinku's innings occurred in the 19th over, facing Australian bowler Sean Abbott. facing a lower full toss, Rinku showcased impeccable timing, propelling the ball straight down the ground for a six with a fluid and singular swing. He played a crucial part in India's two-wicket victory over Australia in the first T20I on November 23. Suryakumar expressed his joy at witnessing the composure displayed by Rinku during the match.
