Cricketers getting a marriage proposal from fans is a routine sight in cricketing sphere but seldom the world has seen the vice-versa, where a cricketer proposed a fan. Such rare incident took place at the Visakhapatnam Airport right ahead of the second ODI between India and Australia. India's regular skipper Rohit Sharma, who missed the first ODI due to personal reasons, after attending his brother-in-law's wedding in Mumbai linked up with the Men in Blue's squad for the second ODI against Australia at Vizag. The moment Rohit landed at the Visakhapatnam airport, several fans gathered to see and take a selfie with their favourite cricketing star. As Rohit was taking an exit from the airport, he saw a fan taking a video of him with his phone. Rohit, who is known for his jovial mood, went to that very fan and gifted him a rose and hilariously said,“Will you marry me?”
Ever since the video is doing rounds on social media and the fans are going gaga about it.

In Rohit's absence Hardik Pandya led the Indian pack in the first ODI which the Men in Blue won by five wickets, thanks to KL Rahul's impressive 75.
But Rohit returned for the second ODI to bolster Indian side but despite his presence the Men in Blue suffered a humiliating defeat by 10 wickets on Sunday. Opted to bowl first, Australia bundled out India for 117 with Starc taking five wickets while Sean Abbott taking three wickets. Nathan Ellis also scalped two wickets. For India, Virat Kohli top-scored with 31 runs while Axar Patel remained unbeaten for 29*. Later, Marsh and Head brought up their respective half-centuries and remained unbeaten for 66* and 51* respectively as the visitors claimed a 10-wicket win in just 11 overs. With this win, Australia have levelled the three-match ODI series 1-1.
