Technology is a great way to connect way to remind your loved ones when you are away. Former Australian skipper Steve Smith decided to wish his wife a Happy Valentine's Day on Twitter but it went wrong. Smith shared the Instagram post where he is with his wife but tagged the wrong person on Twitter.

“Happy Valentine’s Day to my beautiful wife @dani_willis. Can’t wait to see you in a couple of days,” Smith tweeted.

Smith's wife Danielle Willis is not much active on Twitter. She did not reply to her husband’s tweet which was later deleted.

One logical explanation for Smith’s honest mistake can be that his wife has a different username on Instagram and Twitter. While sharing the Instagram post, he may have used the same username which led to the mistake.

Smith is currently preparing for the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy which is scheduled to be played from February 17 at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.

Smith was one of the few batters who showed some resistance in the Nagpur Test which the visitors lost by an innings and 132 runs. He was disappointed by the below par score in the first innings.

"Our batting in the first innings wasn't up to the mark. I don't think 170 was enough. There weren't as many demons as there, probably, were today. The few of us who got in and got started didn't go on with it. We needed to get somewhere around 300 and put pressure on Indian batters," Smith was quoted as saying to Star Sports.

"Rohit, Jadeja, and Axar all played beautifully, and had good methods for how they went about things," he stated.

Smith feels that the Australian batters needed to be braver in their approach in order to put some pressure back on Indian bowlers.

"If the wicket is good, particularly in the first innings, that's where we have to get the bulk of the runs. In the second innings, you have got to be a little braver, and proactive, trying to put pressure back on the bowlers as much as possible.

"When they are able to bowl six balls at a batter, they really enjoy that, they feel like they are in the game. So, it's necessary to put some pressure back on them. Try and find areas where you can get off strike," Smith added.
