For the first time in 24 years, the Australian cricket team reached Pakistan to play Test, ODI and T20I series. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) welcomed the Australia cricketers and they also shared the picture of Australia Test captain Pat Cummins on social media. On the other hand, Australian players were also eager to go to Pakistan and they too shared their pictures on social media as soon as they reached Pakistan.
Historic test series
Australia's 18-member Test team flew from Melbourne to Islamabad and landed at Islamabad airport. The first Test match of the three-Test series is slated to be played from March 4 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Australia will play a three-match Test series, followed by three ODIs. After the completion of the Test and ODI series, two teams will be seen playing one T20I match as well. The T20I match is scheduled to be played on April 5.
High-profile security
Keeping all the security concerns in consideration, Pakistan Cricket Board left no stone unturned as 4,000 police and army soldiers have been deployed for the upcoming cricket series against Australia.
Moreover, it is understood that when the Australia team will go to the stadium, the road will be blocked for 15 kilometers. Soldiers with sniper guns will be stationed around the stadium and the entire nearby market will be closed on the day of the match. Similar arrangements have also been made in Karachi and Lahore as well.
