After being dismissed for 376 in their first innings, India's bowlers put on a stellar show on Day 2 of the first Test against Bangladesh. The Indian pace attack, led by Jasprit Bumrah, dismantled the Bangladeshi batting lineup, bowling them out for just 149. Bumrah, known for his lethal pace and precision, picked up four wickets. Akash Deep also contributed with two wickets of his own. Mohammed Siraj and Ravindra Jadeja chipped in with wickets as well. India's impressive bowling performance helped them establish a substantial first-innings lead of 227 runs.
Bangladesh Struggles Against Indian Pace
The Bangladeshi batting lineup faced a tough time against the Indian pace attack on Day 2. Jasprit Bumrah made an early breakthrough, dismissing Shadman Islam. Akash Deep followed up with two quick wickets, trapping Zakir Hasan and Mominul Haque. Shakib Al Hasan and Litton Das tried to rebuild the innings, adding 51 runs after Bangladesh was reduced to 40/5. However, both batters were dismissed in quick succession. Mehidy Hasan Miraz remained unbeaten on 27, but Bangladesh's innings ended at 149/10.

Jasprit Bumrah was the standout performer for India's bowling attack, picking up four wickets for 50 runs in 11 overs. Akash Deep and Ravindra Jadeja were also impressive, claiming two wickets each. Mohammed Siraj contributed with two wickets as well. However, Ravichandran Ashwin, who had earlier scored a century in the match, failed to make an impact with the ball, going wicketless.
Shakib Al Hasan was the leading run-scorer for Bangladesh, contributing 32 runs to the team's total. Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the other notable contributor, remaining unbeaten on 27 runs.
Earlier, Ravichandran Ashwin's impressive century, combined with fifties from Ravindra Jadeja and Yashasvi Jaiswal, helped India reach a total of 376 runs in the first innings of the Test match against Bangladesh in Chennai.
