India won the two Test match series against Bangladesh.

India's aggressive approach secured an unexpected victory over Bangladesh in the second Test at Kanpur, despite losing more than two and a half days to rain and a damp outfield. This win completed a 2-0 series sweep for India. With a PCT of 74.2 after 11 matches, India now sits atop the World Test Championship standings and is well-positioned for a shot at a third consecutive final appearance.

The main competitors for a spot in the final are Australia and Sri Lanka, with PCTs of 62.50 and 55.56, respectively, after 12 and nine matches.

Team India will now face New Zealand for the three Test match series and if the Men in Blue defeat them 3-0 then Rohit Sharma-led side will almost qualify for WTC Final.

After the home Test season, the Men in Blue will travel to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar series where both WTC finalists will play five Test match series against each other.
