Check India's performance in the last Test match at Green Park stadium.

Rohit Sharma-led Team India is all set to compete against Najmul Hossain Shanto's Bangladesh in the second and final Test of the two-match series which is scheduled to be played at the Green Park stadium in Kanpur, from September 27. The Indian cricket team came out victorious in the first game in an absolutely dominant fashion by a massive margin of 280 runs. The hosts are currently leading the series 1-0 and now they are just one more win away from white-washing the opponent side.

Despite India's dominance over the visitors in Chennai, Bangladesh was unable to exploit a notable early vulnerability. India lost quick wickets on the opening day of the Chennai Test quickly, but Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja's outstanding partnership helped India reach the halfway point. Now that the journey is in Kanpur, India is hoping to carry on their winning streak. Team India has played 23 Test matches at Green Park Stadium, winning just seven of them. Thirteen of their games have concluded in a draw, while they have only lost three.

What happened when India played in Kanpur Last Time?

The last time India played a Test match in Kanpur was in November of 2021 against New Zealand. Ajinkya Rahane captained India in that game; neither Rohit Sharma nor Virat Kohli participated. India elected to bat first after winning the toss. As India amassed 345 runs in their opening innings, Shubman Gill got fifty and debutant Shreyas Iyer struck an incredible hundred. With some deft bowling, Axar Patel bagged a five-for with 296 runs after New Zealand was bowled out. Iyer scored 65 runs in the second inning, which saw the hosts amass 235 runs. Then, on the last day, the Kiwis battled hard and managed to stay alive. They were at 165 for 9 at the end of 98 overs, and they had somehow preserved the match as it ended at a standstill. Shreyas Iyer was awarded as the Player of the Match.
