Bangladesh registered their first-ever win against Pakistan.

Bangladesh have created history by defeating Pakistan in the first Test match by 10 wickets at Rawal Pindi Stadium in Rawalpindi. This Bangladesh team becomes the first-ever squad who defeat Pakistan in a Test match. Pakistan's Test win drought continues. The Men in Green are looking for their Test win since 2021. Pakistan who featured with all the pacers considering the pitch condition were seen struggling against Bangladesh spinners. Earlier, during the T20 World Cup 2024, Babar Azam-led side failed to qualify for the group stage and after that, there were a lot of reports claiming that the Pakistan cricketers don't like each other. 

 

Now, After Pakistan lost the Test match against Bangladesh, a video is going viral on a social sphere where Shaheen Shah Afridi can be clearly seen snubbing his captain Shan Masood's hand from his shoulder. Fans have started reacting to that video, here is the clip.

Coming back to the match, Pakistan's Mohammad Rizwan scored his highest Test score 171 not out in the first innings helping Shan & Co. to score 448 runs before declaring the first innings. In Response, Bangladesh batter Mushfiqur Rahim scored 191 runs which helped Bangladesh to take the lead of 117 runs. Pakistan batters failed to get a good start during the second innings the whole team was bundled out on 146 runs. Bangladesh batters Zakir Hasannot, Shadman Islam's opening duo helped the visitors to register 10 wicket win. 

 

Pakistan will now face Bangladesh for the second Test match which will start from August 30 at the same venue (Rawalpindi Stadium in Rawalpindi).
